Description:

Their goal is to promote an excellent quality of life for the companion animals of Calaveras County. The Animal Adoption Center in Angels Camp is now open.

Services include:
Spay/Neuter Voucher - can help low income Calaveras County residents who cannot otherwise afford to have their pets altered by providing a voucher. Vouchers can be used at participating veterinary offices inside or outside Calaveras County, please call to find one.

Pet Guardian Program - animals enrolled will be taken to the Calaveras Humane Society's shelter when their guardian passes away and they work to place them in the right home. Available for dogs and cats with a maximum of three pets per household

Free Pets for Veterans - provides free adoptions to veterans, please call for more information

Senior Pets for Senior Citizens - Seniors 65+ may adopt an animal 3 years or older for half of the regular fee, just mention the program when adopting

Pet Food Bank - for low-income residents who are struggling to afford to feed their pets. Apply to participate and pick up food once per month

Veterinary Assistance for Seniors - veterinary billl help for low-income seniors (65+). Grant requests must be initiated by veterinary office. Talk to your Calaveras County vet to see if they participate

Donations and Volunteers are welcome if interested.
