Nancy's Hope

Description:

To promote the sanctity of life and the inherent dignity of each individual. The dedication for developing a community with other organizations to support self-respect for residents of Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties. To provide needed services to ALL members of the community whether they be elderly, homeless, low-income families and disabled and anyone who would not otherwise be able to obtain necessary services, through free programs and community outreach. Provides food, clothing, homeless support, and volunteer opportunities.

Operation SOS (Save Our Seniors) - intended to provide assistance, cultivate friendships and create bonds with elderly or isolated indiviuals. Potential help with meals, light cleaning or yardwork.
Operation Firewood - firewood assistance, up to 1 cord per family in need, when available
Heart 2 Hand - Provides necessary and specific items to assist homeless community members with their unique needs

OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE:
Operation Mobile Hope - Mobile Relief Unit stocked with items, ready to go for events and community disasters
Operation Propane - assistance with initial propane fill-up
Operation Turkey - turkeys provided to families in need
Prince/Princess Project - formal attire to middle/high school students for dances
Trash for Cash - ask about program

Info Board and Resources - located in Nancy's hope Thrift Store; job postings, work wanted, and more
Back 2 School - backpacks to children in need, filled with supplies
Blanket and Coat Harvest Giveaway - Twice a year, provides blankets, coats, hats, gloves, scarves, socks, and toiletry bags to homeless in the winter
Clothing Voucher - those in need to obtain necessary clothing
Compassion Closet - provides toiletries to those in need
Dress 4 Success - provides job interview attire, or clothing for specific job
Fresh Start - provides transitional community members with items to set up a home
Mommy 2 Be - provides mothers and infants with needed items
Operation Butte Fire - helps fire survivors for have household or personal needs
Operation Christmas Hope - toy giveaway for children
Operation Family - events to encourage quality time between family members
