AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP): Enrollment in this state program provides needed medications for person with hiv not covered by insurance

The State Office of AIDS Health Insurance Premium Payment program (OA HIPP): can help cover medical insurance premiums for people with HIV who don't qualify for Medicare or Medi-Cal. These may include individual policies and those purchased through public exchanges like Covered California. If you are no longer working but have continued employer sponsored insurance through COBRA, OA-HIPP may be able to help.

Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP): Sierra HOPE has assisted with deposits, past-due rent, and utility bills that seemed out of control. Assistance is subject to availability of funds, which are limited and not sufficient to respond to all of the requests that we receive. Applicants must meet income requirements and be at imminent risk of becoming homeless or of being without essential utilities such as heat, water, or electricity.

HIV/AIDS Case Management: The case manager works with the client to develop a care plan based on his/her specific needs, provides benefit counseling and advocacy, and coordinates with other care providers to assure quality and continuity of care; AVAILABLE TO RESIDENTS OF AMADOR, CALAVERAS, TUOLUMNE, and ALPINE counties

Emergency Financial Assistance and practical support for food, medical needs, and transportation for people living with HIV or AIDS

Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA): Short-term assistance for rent, mortgage or essential utilities intended to prevent or alleviate homelessness of people with HIV or AIDS.

HIV Testing: check with your local health department for availability

Hepatitis C screening: available by appointment, Requires a finger-stick to obtain a small blood sample. Results available in two weeks. The Home Access Hep C test kit that we offer is also available for purchase at local pharmacies. Our Hep C screening program is supported by private donations. We offer it free, but donations are gratefully accepted to help cover the cost of the test kits.

Education: HIV and Hepatitis Education presentations may be customized to meet the needs of any audience

COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY is open every Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 PM to anyone in need.
