Description:

Hospice is a philosophy of team care for people who are nearing the end of their lives. The emphasis is on comfort care rather than curative treatment. It combines pain and symptom management with practical and emotional support in the comfort of the patient's home. The service is also available at skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.

Grief Support: programs and resources are designed to help people cope with the death and dying process through a variety of channels, from one-on-one support to children and adults, to group classes for adults, and reading material. The Hospice Bereavement Support Group offers in-person meetings every Tuesday from 10-11:30am at their office location or every Thursday from 10:30am-12:00pm at the San Andreas Senior Center (956 Mountain Ranch Rd). A Zoom Grief Support group is available every Tuesday at 6:00pm, please call for the zoom link.
The Greifbusters program is comprised of specially vetted volunteers individually trained to work with school aged children ages 5-19 who are grieving the death of a loved one.

They also provide ongoing grief support and a caregiver support group for unpaid family and friends at the Amador Senior Center.

Medical/nursing care, hospital equipment and supplies, on-call support, emotional/spiritual help.
