A Brush with Kindness: works with homeowners to revitalize a home's exterior including painting, minor repairs, landscaping, weatherization, and clean-up.
To qualify for homeownership, you need to meet these requirements:
1. You must be living in substandard housing at the present time
2. Willingness to partner with Habitat (You will be required to do sweat equity or work on your own home, as you are able, and take training classes to become homeowners. Their affiliate requires 350 hours of work and training.)
3. Ability to pay back a no-interest loan to Habitat over twenty or thirty years. (Individuals who earn 30-60% of the median income as determined by HUD for our county.)
