California Phones from the California Telephone Access Program (CTAP) offers free, specialized telephones and devices to Californians who have difficulty seeing, hearing, speaking, moving, or remembering. CTAP has amplified phones, big button phones, accessories to enhance hearing on your own mobile phone and more. There are no age or income requirements to be eligible. Please visit CaliforniaPhones.org or call 1-800-806-1191 to request an application or to find a service center near you.
Eligibility requirements are:
1. Live in California.
2. Have telephone service.
3. Your doctor approves your need.
Free Smartphone Trainings - two-part online training for iPhone and Android smartphones, training come in English, ASL, Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese) and Spanish languages. Trainings can be virtual or in-person, call to sign up or find a training near you.
