The Home Safe Program: The Home Safe Program was established to support the safety and housing stability of individuals involved in Adult Protective Services by
providing housing-related assistance using evidence-based practices for homelessness prevention. Home Safe funding is intended for elder adults (60 years and older) and dependent adults (18-59 who are disabled) who are experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness as a result of elder or dependent abuse, neglect, self-neglect, or financial exploitation, as determined by Amador County APS. Continuing funds have been made available through June 30, 2024.

The Housing and Disability Advocacy Program: The Housing and Disability Advocacy Program (HDAP), created in 2016, is a locally administered program operated by counties and tribes to provide housing supports and disability benefit application assistance/advocacy to people likely eligible for disability benefits and experiencing (or at risk of) homelessness. HDAP offers outreach, case management, disability advocacy, and housing assistance for individuals, youth, and families who are likely eligible for disability benefits and are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
